With new European data protection regulations which came into force on 25th May 2018, which is the most significant piece of European privacy legislation in the last 20 years. It will impact every business or organisation that holds and processes personal data. Stanton Hockett is no exception and we have been working to ensure that we are fully compliant with GDPR when it takes effect.

Personal data that we collect during the course of your journey with Stanton Hockett is packaged using our own internal systems and the list of information that we hold on you, dependent upon the service that you require, or are provided with, includes: full name, date of birth, present and previous addresses, residential status, telephone numbers, email addresses, landlord details, nationality, national insurance number, photographic ID, proof of address, bank and mortgage statements, salary and employer details, solicitor details, and more.
In the general conduct of business, Stanton Hockett collects information relevant to the services you require from yourself, your next of kin, spouse/partner, business associates, employers, financial institutions, insurance companies, trusted government sources, credit default agencies, law firms, and health providers. Such information will generally be collected directly via the use of any of our standard forms, over the internet, via email, in our branches or by way of a telephone conversation with you. We may also collect personal information via our affiliates or suppliers.
As a general rule, we will collect, use and hold information about you for the purposes of the specific service that you require.
Stanton Hockett is required, by law, to obtain specific information from you in order to comply with the regulations set out by the "Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds Regulations 2017". We require two separate identification documents, one primary and one secondary.
Stanton Hockett will process your information under the following: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (including fraud, risk assessment, due diligence, network security, direct marketing, and other core products and services), public interest, and consent where we will seek your clear and unambiguous consent prior to processing your data.
We do not sell or otherwise disclose the personal information that we collect about you, except as described in this privacy notice or as indicated via the consent process at the time the data is collected. We share the information we collect with vetted affiliates and partners, formally contracted service providers, hosting datacenters, and helpdesk services. We contractually require these service providers to safeguard the privacy and security of personal information they process on our behalf.
Stanton Hockett will keep all information for a reasonable amount of time in order to perform the purposes listed previously. We only keep your information for as long as necessary. We generally keep personal information for 7 years after the last contact with you. However, Stanton Hockett reserves the right to keep information for longer if we feel that this is in our legitimate interest.
Your rights regarding the sensitive or personal information that we maintain about you enable you to exercise choices about what personal information we collect from you, how we use that information, and how we communicate with you.
